Are you interested in pursuing a doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine? If so, OCOM may have the right combination of programs for you — plus a scholarship program to match!

For master’s applicants in the incoming 2017 and the 2016 cohorts, OCOM’s Board of Trustees has approved $10,000 scholarships designed for applicants who are interested in completing both the college’s master’s and doctoral degree programs consecutively.

As the #1 school of acupuncture in the nation, OCOM offers not only a quality master’s program, but a highly regarded Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree (DAOM), as well. This two-year program of in-depth clinical study allows those who have completed the master’s degree to begin practicing anywhere in the country while they pursue their doctoral training. A flexible modular format includes monthly teaching intensives with experts in a variety of Chinese medicine specialties.

OCOM doctoral graduates report development of advanced clinical and research skills, as well as lifelong professional relationships with leaders in the field. All DAOM students learn within areas of dramatically expanding need in the current health care environment — women’s health and chronic diseases affecting aging adults. OCOM’s doctoral program was the first to graduate practitioners with a DAOM degree in 2005. Learn about the OCOM doctoral program.

The scholarships for students enrolling in the combined program are specifically designed to provide funds during the two years of doctoral study. To be eligible to receive the funds, scholarship recipients must successfully graduate from the master’s program and then be accepted into the doctoral program via the regular doctoral admissions process.
