Application Process

Applicants must submit all of the following to Oregon College of Oriental Medicine under one cover:
  • The completed application
  • One recent photograph
  • Two typed, personal essays (please see the application for instructions)
  • A non-refundable application fee of $50
  • Transfer students only: $150 transcript evaluation fee
Applicants must request that the following application materials be submitted directly to Oregon College of Oriental Medicine:
  • Official transcripts* from each post-secondary school and college previously attended
  • Two letters of recommendation from professionals who can comment on the applicant's ability to be successful as a master’s degree student and a health care provider. At least one of these letters should be from an instructor.  Letters may be submitted by mail, e-mail, or fax.
The admissions committee will review the application once all of the above-listed items are received.  Application materials will be accepted and processed until the incoming class and the waiting list are full. After reviewing the application materials, the admissions committee will schedule an applicant for a required personal, on-campus interview. Admissions decisions will be confirmed within two weeks after the admissions interview.

Upon acceptance to the program, an applicant is required to make a tuition deposit of $250 to secure their place in the entering class. This deposit must be received within two weeks from the date of the notice of acceptance. Fifty dollars of this deposit is non-refundable. Upon registration for fall classes, the entire $250 will be applied to the student's first-quarter tuition.
