The first step in applying to OCOM's doctoral program is to contact the Office of Admissions at 503-253-3443 x201 for a username and password to access the online doctoral admissions application. Applicants may save their application information as they complete each section. This feature allows an applicant to return to the application form if they run out of time or do not have all the necessary components.

Application materials are reviewed and processed as they are received. An applicant does not need to wait until the application deadline to apply or receive an admissions decision. Each applicant will be contacted approximately one to two weeks after all application materials have been received to arrange an on-campus or phone interview.

Special Admissions Considerations

Prospective applicants whose prior training falls short of the formal academic criteria may still be eligible for consideration for admission to the program. A formalized credentials and competencies equivalency review by the admissions committee will determine a candidate’s eligibility prior to consideration of the application.

International Credentials

OCOM welcomes non-U.S.-trained applicants to the DAOM program and appropriate credentials from international institutions are acceptable for admissions purposes. Note that these credentials must be equivalent to those of U.S.-trained applicants and will be formally evaluated by an independent credentials evaluation agency before the application can be considered. International institutions’ transcripts must be submitted with the appropriate translation and equivalency analysis from a recognized agency such as World Education Services, Inc.
